Debate in English class went from "Would you bang a transgendered male/female?" to the role of women and men in relationships. What is the ultimate goal of relationships? Children? There are hundreds of couples out there who cannot bear children and many who wish not to. There is an organization on livejournal dedicated to couples who do not have a desire to have kids.

Breaking up or not even considering someone who is "barren" is close minded, disgusting, and stupid. Besides having alternatives (sperm donor, egg donor, surrogate mother, ADOPTION), it is unfair to the "barren" person in question.

Also, transgendered people are not shemales. They are the gender they preceive themselves to be. Everyone in the womb is ONE gender before estrogen and testosterone decide the rest. Transgendered people simply came out the wrong way, but with the mentality of a female or male. When they go through transition, it is like being in the womb--they are taking the proper meds and going through the procedures in order to come out the right way this time around. Would I date a man-gone-woman? Yes. I would. Why? Because it is a woman. Mentally, she's a woman. Physically, she's trying. Even when I was bisexual or straight-leaning-toward, I was open minded to the possiblity of dating a transperson.

Children are not part of the equation. There are so many other ways to have kids. Science today can even permit two women to have a baby together.

Yes, millions of years ago, men and women got together to procreate. Men also ruled over the tribes and raped countless females to have babies everywhere. I'm sorry, but I think most of society has evolved. If we were the same as we were millions of years ago, I would weep.

There are so many misconceptions in this class-

1. That gay people have the mind opposite of their gender. I do not have a guy's mentality the same as gay men do not have a girl's mentality. I asked my science teacher this after the debate, and he basically backed me up.

2. That relationships revolve around procreation. Again, bringing up the couples and individuals who do not wish to have children as well as the relationships that thrive despite not being able to conceive.

3. That she-males are not really the gender they perceive themselves at. Gender is about mentality. Sex is the physical aspect. Yes, physically, they might have an inverted penis, but that is still a female body that is going through the fetal stage all over again. MENTALLY, they have always been a girl and that is part of the attraction as well.

I have also been fagging over Marvel.

Let me explain--for years, I have been a DC girl. I raved about Batman, the villains, and everything under the sun. I watched the Justice League, called Superman a dick, and put down Marvel for its silliness. That is, until I started reading Cable and Deadpool coupled with Young Avengers, Runaways, and the amazingness of Captain America and Iron Man.

Dare I say it, I think I'm a turncoat.

There's more canon gay and crack and general FUN in the Marvel universe. I love how everyone interacts, the unique characters, the amazing art, the fucking hilarity, the fucking ANGST (OH GOD TONY YOU MAKE ME WEEP). Whereas in DC, I just liked Batman.

Hell, I've been saying for a while any way that I think the movie, Iron Man is better than the Dark Knight which, in my opinion, has become way overrated. I enjoyed it, but oi, people.

I've also pretty much made up my mind towards my career. I think I definitely want to get into the comic books industry. I've been dabbling in it on and off for years, and it just feels right. It goes with my geekery, and there is so much I can do. I think I want to be a colorist as WEE COLORS (it'll also probably be easier to get into). I'ma try majoring in illustration at MECA (since at this rate, I'll probably be going to that school). Which ISN'T A BAD THING since most colorists are self-taught any way.

I've been doodling and drawing so much, but not posting anything. I'll try showing everything off soon. I also doodled some Marvel shit (WEEP) which reminds me if anyone can suggest titles for me since I'm not sure I want to read Marvel from the BEGINNING OF TIME. Give me a place to start, please that preferabbly does not include Tony Stark's SUPERSTAR shirt. (oh god)

I've been designing tattoos lately. I'm thinking of getting the godsend symbol on my hipbone as a starter point. I eventually want wings on my arms, and am also thinking if Marvel/DC superheroes on my shoulders would be bad ass or not. I AM SO INDECISIVE.
